Japanese mobile brand au launched its exciting new music app ODOROKI (or 'Perfect Sync') with an incredible concert driven by Musion’s Eyeliner. Through a truly electrifying campaign that brought together music and technology, KDDI Japan (the telecoms parent company behind au) unveiled its new app in a way that left Japanese audiences stunned.
First a special concert with Japanese band FLOWER FLOWER was arranged, which included invites for 2000 au users. During the concert, the audience used the ODOROKI application and experienced "perfect sync" with the bands performance, producing synchronised sounds with their phones via the app.
In an exciting twist, the band was surrounded by a 360° Musion installation that allowed the entire crowd to enjoy holographic content that helped enhance the interactive performance. The campaign has generated hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube and raised the awareness of ODOROKI in a way that would not be possible without Musion’s unique platform being implemented by its Japanese reseller, Spin Co. Inc.
Electronics giant Sony presented its bold interpretation of the ‘future of retail’ with a holographic extravaganza. Recognising the proficiency we have for creating incredible retail experiences, Sony approached us with a unique idea for getting the public back to the high street.
As part of a concept created by iris Worldwide, we transformed the company’s new water resistant Xperia™ Z product line into a holographic show that quickly became the talk of the exhibition. Engaging, exciting and effective, it generated a huge impact at the show by demonstrating just how forward-thinking Sony is.
Vienna's The Life Ball seemed the perfect chance to give a little back to the world. As Europe's largest charity event supporting the HIV and AIDS community, it was a unique opportunity for us to wow its guests, which included famous names like Elton John, Greg Louganis, Kelly Osbourne and Bill Clinton.
The 2013 Ball's theme was Arabian Nights. Based on a collection of South/West Asian stories and folk tales, it was fitting that our holographic technology be used to bring some exotic magic to the event.

First there was the temporary celebration ABBAWORLD where we gave the public a chance to perform alongside holographic avatars of their favourite Swedish pop band.
Obviously that wasn't enough, so when ABBA: The Museum approached us to make our magic more permanent, we said Mamma Mia and jumped to it. The subject was Narendra Modi, whose 55 minute speech was broadcast on a scale Musion had never seen before. Crowds of 10,000 – 30,000 attended each site to listen to Modi speak.
The difficulties of the region were overcome by satellite communication and mobile Musion TelePresence truck development, which helped Modi broadcast in total over a two month period, 106 different holographic speeches.
EE, the merged brand representing UK mobile operators T-Mobile and Orange, invited 15,000 staff to its annual employee event to experience the new brand.
