| MAMAs 2010
The MAMAs will celebrate the world’s best holographic projection
artwork in a glittering charitable gala ceremony attended by leading
figures from the media, art and marketing worlds. A jury comprised
of renowned artists and creative professionals - including representatives
of media partners and the directors of Musion Systems - will announce
the winners on the night. It’s an evening that will showcase
cutting edge digital art, giant animation, real time motion capture
and Musion’s compelling live full sized 3D holograms from
guest speakers and partners in the Musion Academy. Central Saint
Martins, an internationally renowned art college with an outstanding
reputation in arts education is main partner of the Academy and
the MAMAs. Funds generated by the event will be donated to our two
nominated charities ZSL London Zoo and Opportunity International.
MAMAs Awards
The winner of the Grand Award wins a complete Eyeliner installation
of his choice at a venue of his choice. The winner will also be
presented at the prestigious Kinetica 2010 – Fair for Art
and Technology. There are five award categories for the students
to produce their unique visual creations. Awards will be presented
in conjunction with our partners in the following categories: Music,
Performance, Narrative, Climate Change and Development. The latter
two categories will be presented by our nominated charities: ZSL
London Zoo and Opportunity International. In addition to this, the
MAMAs will present the first ever Randstad Gold VJ Award.
1st prize consists of a free loan of a fully fledged
Musion System with Eyeliner TM foil, support and technical advice
for the showcase of the winning piece. The winning
installation will be exhibited in a venue chosen by the winning
artist for the duration of up to 10 days.

Randstad Gold VJ Award
In conjunction with Randstad the first ever Award
in VJing will be presented to the public during the MAMAs 2010.
The price money of € 3,000 is given to the winner voted on
by up to 28.000 Randstad employees. A representative of Randstad
will be presenting the Award to the public. The Award ceremony is
recorded and broadcast on the Randstad website.
Randstad is one of the main partners of the MAMAs

MAMAs for the Charities
The MAMAs gala has a charitable nature; with our two nominated
charities Opportunity International and ZSL London Zoo receiving
ticket sales and donations made during the MAMAs 2009. London Zoo,
one of the most established charities in UK, is endorsing the MAMAs
project and hosts the Climate Change category for the competition.
Opportunity International is a micro-financing charity with worldwide
reputation for its effective way of offering sustainable aid to
the self-employed working poor in developing countries - enabling
individuals to help themselves.
 
Jury:
6 Award-partners to preside over their categories with
2 Award partner jury members each, 3 independent experts and two
Musion directors. Jury members include:

Ghislaine Boddington – Body Data Space
Serena Bobowski – Founder and Director of Shunt
Mike Stubbs – Director of FACT Liverpool Center for Art and
Technology
The winner of the Grand Award will be voted on by the audience
on the night of the Awards.
Event Panel – Academy Volunteers
An events team of 12 people orchestrates through all parts
of the evening.
The events team will gradually expand until the day of the event

Submission:
Submission deadline is the 15th of November 2010.
Duration of the clips shouldn’t be longer than 3min 20 provided
in 1920 x 1080 25fps interlaced as a quicktime mov in prores 422
or uncompressed.
Provide short description of the artwork and a biography of yourself.
Submissions are not limited to one per category.
